Why We Give

At Faith Building Church, we don't give to get blessed - we give because we are blessed!  Because of your generosity and financial support, we are able to feed and clothe those who are lacking, counsel those who are broken, support ministries literally around the globe, and offer practical ministry and equipping of our own church family right here!
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

II Corinthians 9:7

Give From Your Heart

If Kingdom giving to the local church is new to you, begin by purposing to simply give regularly and generously - not to be concerned with “how much” or if you are giving “enough”.  Jesus said that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”.  When our hearts have been transformed by the Gospel, our lives will follow in generosity.

Matthew 6:21 -  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

True Value in Kingdom Supply

Our Heavenly Father Who supplies our corporate need as a church family is the same Father Who loves you and your family enough to supply all of your needs. The glory of God contains all of the riches that you need and can supply everything money can buy and everything that money can't buy.  Love, joy, peace, faith, grace, and everything else you need in life is found in abundance right in the middle of God's glory.

Philippians 4:19 - And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

New Testament Giving

When you give the way God has intended, you will be "sufficient in all things" so that you can "abound to every good work."  This is God’s way for both you and His Kingdom to prosper!

2 Corinthians 9:8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

You're Not Paying a Debt

Jesus paid your debt of sin so you could be declared righteous.  You don't ever have to give financially to earn your righteousness.  In the same way that the gift of salvation is offered to us freely through Jesus, our giving should be free of obligation.

2 Corinthians 9:7 - So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
