God Favors You

Webster’s dictionary defines favor as “friendly regard shown toward another especially by a superior.” The truth is that favor will change your life! You have been given the ability to access God’s favor in your life each and every day. 

The first thing to remember is that you already have God’s favor. Many Christians believe they have to earn God’s favor, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Ephesians 2:8 tells us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” God saved us through Jesus because of His love and favor toward us.

God’s favor covers every area of our lives. He has taken care of everything we will ever need NOW! We don’t have to wait until we get to Heaven. We can have Heaven on earth. Before we were born again, He was giving us His favor. Romans 5:8 says, “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

God’s grace enabled you to be born again. From the moment you made Jesus Lord of your life, God’s favor began working on your behalf. He wants to pour out grace and more favor to you if you’ll receive it. 

I heard a pastor say one time, “Grace is God saying, ‘Here is all the good stuff I have to give you.’ Faith is you saying, “Thank You, I’ll take it!” I absolutely love the way this is said because it makes it so easy and so clear for the believer. But, one question that is often asked is, “where do I get the faith to receive?” Romans 10:17 tells us “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” We find out the truth about God’s favor, goodness, and blessing as we read His Word. Faith comes, we believe it, and then begin to receive all of what His Word says.

God is constantly looking for people to bless because that’s just who He is. He is full of mercy, compassion, and love. Because of His favor, He is looking for someone who is ready to trust Him and someone who is ready to reach out in faith to receive favor and blessing. 

I want to receive ALL of God’s favor in my life! I pray you do too. If this is something you desire but you’re just not sure where to start, let me help you out. It’s simple. Begin finding out what He says in His Word. This is where you’ll find the countless ways He wants to bless you. Then, just believe Him and begin to expect to receive. Declare what the Word of God says in Psalms 5:12, "God encompasses me with favor like a shield; Everywhere I go, everything I do, I am favored by God."
