Keys To Victory
Jun 21, 2024 | by Jennifer Wade
In my prayer time over the last month or so, the Lord has really been talking to me about how faith and victory go hand in hand. This sounds so simple, and at first my initial response to Him was, “I absolutely believe this and live this!” But, the truth is, I was more focused on HOW I was going to see the victory and was not truly listening to the advice that I so often give others. In my mind, I thought I had to make things happen and I became my own distraction. The Holy Spirit checked me and I was ready to listen and obey.
We all face situations on a daily basis- some more intense than others. In those times, it isn’t always easy to walk out our victory by faith. I believe the Lord has clearly shown me how to walk this out and I want to share some key points with you that will guarantee total victory in your life today!
The first key is learning to meditate on the promises in the Word of God that correlate with what you are believing for. Stand on those promises and don’t let them fade away. Don’t allow anything to distract you or get you off course. Job 22:28 in the Amplified Bible says, “You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light of God’s favor shall shine upon your ways.” God’s desire is to shine favor upon you! Begin to declare it by faith with your mouth.
The next key is to make a firm decision that God’s Word is TRUE! Let’s be honest, our thoughts get in the way quite often and many times become the greatest stumbling block we will ever face. Cast down anything that is the opposite of the Word of God and that includes your own thoughts. Thoughts have NO power until you actually speak them. The enemy wants you to say those opposing thoughts out loud because that is when they can become rooted in your heart. He is sneaky, so you always have to keep your guard up and be at the ready. Proverbs 23:7 tells us that as man speaks in his heart, so he becomes. NEVER allow those negative thoughts to come out of your mouth.
The last key that I want to mention here is one that really has changed my life over recent years in ministry. I have mentioned it before because it has radically changed me as a believer. Have more faith in the Word of God than in what you can see or feel. What we see and what we feel are all part of our emotions. Remember what Pastor Anthony says, “You can have emotions, but don’t ever let your emotions have you.” You can’t look at your spiritual victory through natural eyes. It will never work. You see your spiritual victory by faith with your spiritual eyes. That is why you have to put your complete faith in the Word of God and only the Word of God.
I encourage you today that hope is powerful when it is rooted in the promises of God through these important steps. Start each day expecting God’s promises to manifest in your life. What has God promised you? Do you believe that you receive by faith because God’s Word is true and never returns void? He is a man of His Word. That’s not just a song we sing because we like the musicality of it, and the words are good…it is the absolute TRUTH! You can take that to the bank. Continue to trust Him with your whole heart and you will be guaranteed total victory in every area of your life. FBC Family- raise your expectations by faith!
Love you all!
